Trophée Culinaire du President Jean-Jacques Dietrich

A national event federating all the French culinary “Know-How” and making it possible to promote French Cuisine was necessary in the United States, we also wanted to promote young chefs, discover new talent and encourage them to pursue in their carrer.

For that the usa Delegation of the Academie Culinaire de France in partnership with The International Culinary Center, have created a culinary Competition “the Trophy of the President Jean-Jacques Dietrich” a tribute to our late President who served French Cuisine for more then 60 years and the Academie Culinaire de France as President Delegue for 30 years a passionate mentor and a man of Heart.

The contest is open to all commercial and collective professionals Chefs working in an establishment in the United States, this event is a great way to celebrate the richness and diversity of French culinary heritage, particularly recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.

Aged between 25 years old to 35 years old on the day of the competition they will embarque on a journey to win a Trophy, a Challenge, a high level competition for professionals who love to compete. This contest is for cooks and cooks who would like to confront their work, evolve in their profession and live beautiful and good times in the world of culinary competition.

Separating every two years the best of them will travel to Paris to represent team USA at the “Trophy Passion International”, were 12 nation competes each other to win this prestigious and recognize world wide competition .

“Come and present your work to a jury composed exclusively of Meilleur Ouvrier de France, award winning French & American chefs, under the presidency of the Academie Culinaire de France world President Fabrice Prochasson meilleur Ouvrier de France. The competitions is instructive and encouraging, so get started. “

The selection for the “Trophee Culinaire du President J-J Dietrich” is by application only. Each competitor must complete a registration form and include the following elements :

  • Description of the two Recipes
  • Ingredients & Proportions
  • Color Photos for each Recipes
  • Resume & a photo of the Candidate
